Creative Alternatives of New York held a
"friend-raiser", featuring several Broadway stars, on April
14.
Held at the famed theatre hang-out Sardi's, on West 44th Street in New York City, the event aimed to raise funds for the group's activities which include "[providing] comprehensive therapeutic theater workshops to populations with special needs." Activist and actress Susan Sarandon serves at CANY's workshop leader. Among the attendees at the event were Wicked's Michelle Federer and Norbert Leo Butz, Tony-winner Cady Huffman, costume designer William Ivey Long, as well as Susan Egan, Kevin Kline, and Kerry Butler. |
